Collection: The Stamp Series

This collection brings together lino print, monoprint and collage, layering hand-printed surfaces with the detail and character of postage stamps.

The stamps aren’t just decorative additions - each one contains its own tiny artwork, originally designed to mark moments in history, culture or place. When combined with the looser, more physical marks of lino and mono print, they create an interesting contrast between something small and precise and something more immediate and expressive.

There’s a quiet sense of movement running through the work. The materials hint at things being handled, sorted, sent and received - fragments that have travelled or been passed from one place to another. At the same time, every piece is firmly rooted in the studio, built slowly by hand through layers of ink, paper and process.

Overall, the collection explores how artworks are curated and layered to produce pieces that celebrate a wider moment, and how meaning builds over time through layering, through contrast, and through the small histories carried within each element.
